Looking to re-launch one of their succeffully-landed Falcon 9 first stages on a commercial mission later this year, SpaceX has begun full-duration static fires at the company’s test facility in McGregor, Texas. The first such test, a historic first, was cusscessfully conducted, followed by tests on subsequent days. Accoring to Elon Musk, SpaceX will fire the booster 10 times to certify it for relaunch before conducting an orbital mission, with a paying customer, sometime later this year.
